What is AmongUs ?

Among-Us is one of the most popular games released during the Covid 19 pandemic and became an instant success with a cult following, hitting 259 million downloads. Its popularity not just stopped playing it online, it is one of the most played games by the generation of alpha kids in the physical environment as well.

Among-Us is all about, finding the "imposter among us", before he kills all the crewmates.

How to play AmongUs ?

Among-Us is a multiplayer game, which can be played online, offline with local wifi, or in a natural environment with friends. All it needs is a minimum of 5 players and a max. of 15 players. There will be ‘1’ imposter for each 5 players. The game starts by dropping players into alien Spaceships, and planet bases and players get assigned different roles like Imposters, shapeshifters, crewmates, engineers, scientists & guardian angels.

When you are playing online, it’s the system named host will decide on the roles of players automatically, when playing physically, the host decides manually and communicates roles in secret.

Once roles were decided, the game starts rolling…… in 5 seconds.

Interesting thing is, that no one can know, what roles others are playing, only imposter and shapeshifter knows other imposters and shapeshifters, as their names will be seen highlighted in Red.

Each lobby has a special code, you have to share it with your friends, and they have to insert the same in the password section. It will make your friends to join in your lobby and have fun.

Imposter:

• Imposter will start looking for ways to kill crewmates, without being noticed. In doing so, he can use his special abilities, like closing the door, to trap crewmate in a room, switching of the lights to kill in dark and escape easily and also creating tasks, to lure the crewmate in to the trap zones for an easy kill. All this can be done, just by using his remote. In addition to this, he can travel through vents and escape un noticed.
• Shapeshifter is an imposter, with an additional ability to change in to any form of the player in game, including other imposters.

Crewmate:

Crewmate has to finish all the tasks, as early as possible, robbing time away from the imposter to lure him into traps assigned by him. In this process, crewmates should not trust anyone and have an eye on CC TV footage to find out the imposters.

Engineers, scientists & guardian angels all come under crewmates, but these have some special abilities.

• Engineer has ability to travel through vents.
• Scientist can check the heart beat of crewmates from his tablet and call for an emergency meet, if required.
• Guardian angel: It’s an after life character. Any crewmate, who gets killed will become a guarden angel and he can shield the crewmates and protect them from imposters.

Emergency meet:

Whenever someone finds suspicious actions of any player or if they see someone killing another player or if they found the dead body, they can call for an emergency.

Once, an emergency meeting is called, all the players will have the option to vote, to decide on who is the imposter. Players can opt. for not to vote by using the skip option. After the voting, counting will be done and the player getting the most votes will be eliminated.

After the player is eliminated, then the host will announce, whether is he an imposter or a crewmate. If he is an imposter, it’s an advantage for the crewmates, if he is a crewmate, it will be a loss to them, but this eliminated crewmate will become a guardian angel and will be shielding the players.

How to play and ways to finish the game:

There will be ‘n’ number of tasks, based on the map. Tasks vary in time and difficulty. Crewmates have to finish their tasks, without being killed and he has to use his experience and skill in finding out imposters and eliminating them. As already said, imposters can lure you with tasks assigned by them, they can lock you, they can drop secretly from vents and can attack you at any time. You need to be vigilant, smart to finish all the tasks, hence you can be the winner.

There are ‘3’ ways to finish the game:

1. Crewmates have to complete all the tasks, before getting killed.
2. Crewmates can win by elimating all the imposters
3. Imposters will win, if they can kill all the crewmates, before they complete the tasks
